This week we received several quilts, hand-stitched by the ladies of Sisters in Stitches, who wanted to help out the children and families we serve. The quilts were passed on to Dr. Deb Crawford, the forensic pediatrician who some of the children we talk to visit for medical examinations. Dr. Crawford will have them on-hand to give to kids she sees.
We are sure these quilts will make the children they are given to feel warmer and more comfortable as they are provided the services needed to investigate their cases. Thank you to Sisters in Stitches for the thoughtful and unique gift!

The 14th annual “K99 Good Morning Guys 28 Hours of Hope” has ended, and this year over $70,000 was pledged or donated online to the CAC and two other local non-profits, A Kids Place and The Namaqua Center. Our thanks to everybody who made this year’s event such a success, including:
-Brian Gary, Todd Harding and everybody at K99 who worked so hard on this event,
-Texas Roadhouse and Truman’s Coffeehouses in Fort Collins,
-All the volunteers who answered the pledge-line phones, solicited for funds (a big Thank
You to the kids who worked the street corners in Wellington) or otherwise helped out in some way,
-the country music artists and others who called-in or were live in the studio in support of the cause,
-and finally to all of the generous people who pledged or donated the financial support that we need
to keep working on our mission to help kids and families affected by child abuse.

Three of the Child Advocacy Center’s largest events are coming up in the next six months.
“28 Hours of Hope” is a call-in fundraiser organized by K99 radio that benefits three local non-profits that work with children: The Child Advocacy Center, A Kids Place and the Namaqua Center. This annual event is scheduled to run from 5 am on March 22nd until 9 am on March 23rd.
“Run For a Child’s Sake” is a race through old-town Fort Collins. All proceeds will benefit the CAC. The 16th annual run will be June 9th.
“Bocce y Bella Sera” is our signature fundraiser, and a great time in general. Bocce is also known as “Italian lawn-bowling”, and our event involves bocce team competitions, an Italian dinner and a silent and live auction. The 11th annual “Bocce y Bella Sera” will be August 18th, from 2-8pm, at Kroh Park in Loveland.
More information will be coming out in the future about all these events. Please mark your calendars and join us for these events to benefit the CAC!
