Throughout the year, the LCCAC holds numerous events to assist with fund raising, raise community awareness and honor those that are special advocates of children. Our most popular events include:

Bocce Y Bella Sera

Join us for our annual event:  a beautiful afternoon of bocce (Italian lawn bowling), wine and great Italian food. This fundraiser stands above the crowd in terms of its unique flair and flavor. 14th Annual - Run for a Child’s Sake

June 12th, 2010 during the Taste of Fort Collins!

Location: Old Town

5K walk, 5K Run and 1 mile run throughout Old Town.  Entry fee includes T-shirt.

Pre-registration -- Adults: $25   Child (under 13): $10   Day of Race: $28

Guardian Award Luncheon - 13th Annual

April 16, 2009

The Guardian Award Luncheon is held annually to recognize a professional(s) who does excellent work with child abuse victims in Larimer County. Nominations for this prestigious award are made by submitting a letter to the Guardian Award Selection Committee in care of the Larimer County Child Advocacy Center, 5529 S. Timberline Road, Fort Collins, CO. 80528. Nominations can also be faxed to 407-9743.

Award nominees should:

  • Be a professional involved in child abuse issues in Larimer County
  • Demonstrate outstanding concern for the individual children with whom they work.
  • Be dedicated to their role in child abuse cases
  • Have a positive impact in promoting the multidisciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse
